Student Success
Statement
“No student ever
attains eminent success by simply doing what is required of him/her;
it is the amount and excellence of what is over and above the required that
determines the greatness of ultimate distinction.”
Charles Kendall
Adams, American Historian
This means that you have to do more than what is expected to achieve
success. You have to do more in order to get more. If you only do what is
expected you will only fill the requirements that you were expected to do. In
other words, you only do the least you can. For example in order to fulfill the
requirements in a class you need only to get a “C” but if you want to be successful
and do more, you will get an “A.”
