Duties and Responsibilities:
Genetic Counselors work with patients and families who have genetic, or inherited, disorders and birth defects, they help people that will most likely get this problem.
Genetic Counselors will:
·         Teach their patients about the conditions and how to work with it.
·         Learn about family history to see whether or not you have a chance of developing the problem.
·         Help reach a choice about their genetic problem that won’t mess with their religious and ethical value.
·         Do research about that genetic disorder
·         Educate about genetic disorders.
Average Salary: $25,000-$55,000
Education:
Students should take a challenging high school curriculum that focuses on science and mathematics.
You need a master’s degree and you also have to have a background in biology, chemistry, and behavior science.

I would not like to be a genetic counselor because the talking part does not interest me.
